REGISTERED PSYCHOTHERAPIST (Qualifying)
Kelsey Prohaska
Welcome! My name is Kelsey Prohaska and for over a decade I have been working as a paramedic in surrounding communities. After being witness to the need for adequate mental health resources for emergency first responders, and the wish to build further connections with those struggling with mental health issues and various life stressors, I decided to pursue a career in psychotherapy.
I focus on supporting individuals and couples experiencing trauma, grief, depression, anxiety, and relationship issues. I also concentrate on working closely with those affected by trauma, stress, and burnout, such as emergency first responders, military personnel, correctional officers, medical professionals, and their family members and loved ones.
Through a trauma-focused lens, drawing from modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Somatic Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Emotionally Focused, and Attachment Theory, I will meet you with warmth, empathy, and respect, always encouraging ongoing collaboration and transparency.
