This is Caitlyn and she is a Student Art Therapist joining the Wellness Within team. She is a Student Member of the Canadian Art Therapy Association and is currently studying at Kutenai Art Therapy Institute.
Caitlyn has a passion for working with parents, and those struggling with the transition into parenthood. She also supports clients with low self-esteem and self-worth, stress and burnout. As well as those navigating life transitions, or chronic conditions such as chronic pain. Caitlyn uses a client-centred and experiential approach to therapy, using art and nature-based supports, which may help clients uncover emotional or behavioural patterns and develop nervous system regulation skills. These approaches may also support creative problem solving and greater understanding of personal beliefs and boundaries.
Art Therapy does not require previous experience or skill with art materials, just an openness to explore your inner landscape.
